The project
Our client is a machine builder who has developed a special machine for a customer for producing specific pharmaceutical products. For the protection of pharmaceutical products, ProCleanroom has developed a special crossflow unit, which has been manufactured, installed and validated. For maximal flexibility during transportation and ease of installation, the crossflow unit – which is made up from three equal parts – has a total filter area of 3000 x 1000 mm.
The crossflow unit provides a horizontal unidirectional (laminar) air flow across the work surface of the machine. This ensures that the product is fully protected during production and possible contamination can be drained immediately at the front. The air flows out of the machine at the front.
For the pharma application, the crossflow unit is completely constructed out of stainless steel. Maximum sound insulation guarantees silent operation. The application of fans with DC motors provides optimal speed control, a minimal thermal load, and the lowest possible operational costs for the user. The control cabinet contains the controller and the alarms.
