The modular hardwall cleanroom
This modular hardwall cleanroom is installed on the premises of Hittech Bihca in Winterswijk. A supplier of high-quality precision parts made of high-performance metals for the medical, semicon and analytical industries. With almost 40 years of experience in, cleanroom assembly, gluing, laser welding and supply chain management, Hittech Bihca can offer complete custom made solutions.
By installing 9 fan filter units, equipped with HEPA 14 filters, the approximately 85m2 hardwall cleanroom easily achieves an ISO class 7 “In Operation” status. The spacious cleanroom can easily accommodate 10 workstations, each equipped with electrical connections and compressed air. 8 windows give the cleanroom a spacious feeling inside and allow the cleanroom operators to communicate with colleagues outside the cleanroom where necessary. This cleanroom is built in a location with minimal ambient light, to optimally illuminate the workplaces and to minimize the shadow effect on the products to be treated, a predetermined lighting plan has been drawn up.
Linked to an existing cleanroom
The new Hardwall cleanroom is connected to an existing cleanroom by means of a cordidoor. A self-closing swing door minimizes contamination transfer between the different cleanrooms. In order to simplify the internal transport of goods of different sizes between the main area and goods area, it was decided to equip the internal partitions with harmonica-hinged softwall strip curtains. This solution offers a solid contamination barrier where necessary and maximum flexibility.
The delivery of all custom-made stainless steel cleanroom furniture is provided by Accessories & Consumables division of ProCleanroom. The specialists of this division, together with Hittech Bihca, looked at the wishes and requirements. Each workstation is equipped with a stainless steel, electrically height-adjustable table and cleanroom chairs. Various stainless steel racks and goods trolleys have also been supplied. Both the racks and trolleys have perforated shelves to keep the rinsing of products with the laminar flow as optimal as possible. By running this process in parallel with the construction of the cleanroom, it could immediately be furnished and put into use by Hittech Bihca.
