Panelbloc cleanroom for Mevi advanced technology

At the premises of Mevi in Helmond we have installed an advanced ISO 6/7 Panelbloc cleanroom. The 96 m² cleanroom, with a vertical clearance of over 3 meters, provides ample space and flexibility for cleanroom-based activities.

Mevi is an internationally operating first-tier supplier serving OEMs in a wide range of high-tech markets. Mevi offers engineering, technical expertise, precision components and the assembly of high-tech modules and machines. Mevi’s design and production teams work closely together on high-quality solutions for customers worldwide.

Grade 4 and 2 cleaning requirements
Like many companies in the High Tech sector Mevi continuously invests in the latest machines and facilities and is therefore able to answer the most challenging production issues. This also applies to the investment in its own high-quality cleanroom solution that fully meets the wishes and requirements of Mevi’s production process. Mevi set high requirements for the design of the cleanroom in terms of safety and working environment, without making concessions on the technical aspects.

The installation of advanced fan filter units equipped with HEPA H14 main filters and high-capacity prefilters allows the cleanroom to achieve and maintain ISO-Class 6 classification in the main and PAL areas. This high level of particulate control makes the cleanroom well-suited for conducting Grade 4 and 2 assembly, cleaning, and packaging processes.

Additionally, the cleanroom was subject to strict integration requirements, necessitating seamless integration into the existing building and compatibility with the industrial cleaning system. Products are subjected to a thorough pre-cleaning process prior to being transported into the cleanroom via a roller system.

Employee well-being and work process
To ensure employee comfort and productivity, the cleanroom is equipped with a high-capacity air conditioning system for precise temperature and humidity control, optimized lighting according to a carefully designed lighting plan, and spacious workstations. These features contribute to a positive work environment and efficient workflow

The cleanroom’s layout and equipment are configured to facilitate direct product movement to inspection and packaging stations within the cleanroom, maximizing process efficiency. Following UV inspection, products may require further cleaning before they are packaged.

The furniture and advice for choosing the right cleanroom products suitable for the work process is fully carried out by the Accessories & Consumables division of ProCleanroom. The specialists of this division, together with Mevi, looked at the wishes and requirements and based this on a package of products such as: stainless steel tables ,cleanroom chairs ,cleanroom cloths, sealing devices, swabs, IPA, clothing and special HEPA cleanroom vacuum cleaners. By running this process in parallel with the construction of the cleanroom, it could immediately be furnished and put into use.
