On the premises of Frerotech in Elsloo, one of our installation teams has installed an custom HLFU-series crossflow cabinet. Frerotech is a specialist in high-tech milling, and they will use this crossflow cabinet for cleaning, inspecting, and packaging complex mechanical components, as well as for assembling inserts. The HLFU series horizontal LAF cabinets from ProCleanroom are particularly suitable for industries where product or process protection is necessary.
On-site Installation
Due to the limited access to the location where this flow unit was to be placed, our engineering department decided to transport it in a number of prefabricated components and assemble it on-site into a single unit. The crossflow cabinet has a worktop width of 1800mm and a depth of 800mm. Thanks to the optimal filtration from the HEPA-14 main filter, the flow unit easily achieves ISO classification 5.
The creation of a “grey” area
The development and construction of a large cleanroom is not yet necessary for Frerotech within their production process, but the need for a dedicated “clean” area is. ProCleanroom has fitted the room in which the crossflow cabinet is installed with a special cast floor. The smooth finish of this floortype ensures optimal cleanability and fits in well with the clean nature of working with a flow unit.
Because a large part of the air in this enclosed room is circularly filtered by the HEPA filter in the flow cabinet, it takes on the character of a “grey” working environment. The consumables and furniture department from ProCleanroom also provided Frerotech with matching stainless steel worktables with drawer units and consumables such as clothing and cleaning products.
Optimized for working hours
The flow unit is equipped with advanced controls that include the ability to select customer-specific working hours, allowing the air speed to be reduced to a minimum when the flow unit is not in use. This feature results in low power consumption and operating costs.
