The PanelBloc cleanroom

This ISO-Class 7 PanelBloc cleanroom for IAI industrial systems is installed on their premise in Veldhoven. A company that has been a specialist in the field of secure document personalization for many years. Through this experience and extensive knowledge, IAI has built up an excellent reputation for designing and supplying industrial production systems in which laser, optics, precision mechanics and control software play a key role.

It was important for IAI to integrate the new cleanroom into an existing part of their business premises. The available space was located on the first floor and was separated in the middle by a load-bearing part of the roof construction. Important aspects to include from the very first moment in the project planning and engineering phase.

To make optimal use of the available space, while maintaining maximum performance, it was decided to construct the cleanroom from the patented PanelBloc® cleanroom system. The PanelBloc panels are equipped with a special coating which accommodate fast and maximum cleaning of the areas, in addition all walls and ceiling are fully flush.

ESD environment
To ensure that the electronic components can be processed safely in the cleanroom, it has been ensured that all furniture (stainless steel tables and cleanroom chairs) are ESD versions. The floor is also treated with an ESD-safe material.

We also advised to use ESD safe items when advising on consumables such as (cleanroom cloths, swabs, IPA, clothing).

The furniture and advice for choosing the right cleanroom products suitable for the work process of IAI is fully carried out by the Accessories & Consumables division of ProCleanroom. The specialists of this division, together with IAI, looked at the wishes and requirements and based this on a package of products. By running this process in parallel with the construction of the cleanroom, it could immediately be furnished and put into use by IAI. Rightly to speak of a Full turnkey solution.

All doors are equipped with a self-closing interlock system, with the exterior doors working with an assignable access system. This system ensures that unauthorized personnel cannot enter the cleanroom and, in the event of an emergency, it is logged which colleagues are in the cleanroom.

For maximum safety, the cleanroom is equipped with safety systems such as smoke detectors, emergency lighting and a special emergency door that can only be opened from the inside.
