1997
Frank Ferguson, former head of the then sizeable vacuum technology section of the Philips Research Laboratories (NATLAB), founds engineering agency Fergutec B.V. In these early years, Fergutec B.V. focused on advising research institutes and high-tech companies in business-critical vacuum processes. It also focused on the supply of key high vacuum components and systems to these institutions and companies.
2005
The influences of contamination caused by small particles began to play an increasingly large role in the processes of our customers. Because of increasing quality demands and ever smaller details, the control of vacuum particles became more important. Due to increasing demand from our customers to work in increasingly cleaner environments, Fergutec B.V. added cleanrooms to the portfolio in support of critical vacuum processes.
2009
More and more companies and research institutions from a growing number of sectors know how to find Fergutec B.V. for flexible cleanrooms and flow cabinets to protect and support their critical business processes. To better serve and further develop these different sectors, ProCleanroom was established. A true specialist saw the light of day. Founded and built by professionals.
2016
April 2016 – Introduction of our unique modular cleanroom concept, which even anticipates the increasingly stringent European energy directives (ErP2016).
Characteristics of the concept in outline: a completely flush ceiling, innovative frame/wall construction and renewed filtration. For you as a user this means: to be guaranteed the lowest operating costs and cost of ownership in the market. Cleaning the cleanroom and keeping it clean is easier and quicker than ever before. Also, the sleek design makes it look better than anything available in today’s market.
September 2016 – The baton is passed to a new generation. Niels Ferguson has worked at the firm for 11 years, and on 1 September became the new owner and general manager. Niels has a background as a commercial engineer. Through his training and years of experience in the industry, he has developed the right mix of technical knowledge and business vision to continue the innovative and successful products and services, and further expand in the Benelux and Europe.
2019
Launch of Accessories & Consumables Department
ProCleanroom is expanding by means of a new Accessories & Consumables division. This division will provide cleanroom and flow cabinet users with layout, furniture, various accessories and consumables. The new professional web shop (shop.procleanroom.com) enables customers to order products quite easily.

Launch of Panelbloc® premium cleanroom system
The introduction of the patented PanelBloc® cleanroom wall and ceiling system. In combination with energy-efficient air conditioning and LED lighting, this is a next step towards making cleanroom solutions more sustainable. This system offers entirely plain walls and ceilings with premium insulation properties (in terms of noise and thermal). The PanelBloc® panels are fitted with a special coating, which makes it possible to clean the spaces swiftly and appropriately. This system guarantees maximum efficiency of cleanroom and process.

October 2022 – Expansion of management with Mike Ferguson
The management of the family-run business is expanding by means of welcoming Mike Ferguson, brother of general manager Niels Ferguson. Mike will reinforce the company by playing the role of operational manager. His know-how and nearly 20 years of experience as a business manager seamlessly fits in with the growing phase that ProCleanroom is currently in. Mike’s focus will be on strategic business management, commercial development and organisational structure. This will reinforce the basis for the realisation of further growth and development.

December 2022 – ProCleanroom is FD Gazelle 2022
ProCleanroom is one of the fastest growing companies in The Netherlands! This year, the prestigious FD Gazellen 2022 awards were issued by Financieel Dagblad for the 19th time, to profitable Dutch business with a growth in turnover of at least 20% over the last 3 years (up to 2021). The growth of staff is also one of the criteria. Over this period, ProCleanroom’s turnover grew by 53% and concerning 2022, we even saw a growth in turnover of 90% ! During the same period, our team no less than tripled!

After 8 years at the current location in Valkenswaard, ProCleanroom has grown beyond its capacity and it is time for a new phase. At industrial estate Meerheide III in Eersel, a brand-new company building was realised under own management. From this amazing location, we will be able to even better serve our relations and, in addition, this offers our staff a fantastic and inspiring work environment, with all the amenities.
