Our engineers have recently expanded the modular ISO-class 7 hardwall cleanroom by 42 square meters, which is located at a top floor of the ‘Lee Towers’ building in Rotterdam. This is a great practical example of the flexibility of our modular cleanroom system.
When installing the original size cleanroom about one year ago, the expansion plans were already taken into account. This has now resulted in a straightforward and efficient expansion of the original cleanroom with no downtime for ETC Solar.
The new cleanroom area has been installed and connected to the existing operational cleanroom, without interrupting the ETC Solar work process. With this expansion, the total cleanroom area has more than doubled to 60 m².
This offers ETC Solar sufficient space to continue their research and increased production of innovative solar technology and commercializing world’s highest performance front contact technology for solar cells. The cleanroom is fully self-supporting and no modifications have been made to the building.
